Prof. Cohen’s Ph.D. was in literature, and the courses he teaches in the RC are primarily literature courses. His scholarship, however, has mainly to do with film. His main interests are Ingmar Bergman and Scandanavian film, the American Western, and any film topic that catches his interest.
He has taught courses entitled: The Godfather and other Film Trilogies, Religion in Film, Film Criticism, The Films of Woody Allen. He particulary enjoys teaching the introductory film course, Art of the Film.
