About RC Forums

Forums provide a way for students to establish connections with other students in the RC while contributing to the various communities that surround them. From planting flowers in the courtyard to reclaiming the Benz to better understanding Detroit, the RC forums are trying to have a positive impact on the East Quad community and beyond. Thanks to the efforts of many students, RC forums have accomplished much in their first year. Hopefully, with your help, they will continue to grow and foster connections among students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the greater community.

Forums are open to all RC students and community members; for more information on how to get involved, contact specific forum leaders. Enrolled students can elect up to 1 credit per term in a forum.

Forum History

In the RC, we pride ourselves on our community. Students live, eat, take classes, and sometimes even shower together. Nonetheless, the separation between those that live in East Quad and those who life off-campus is unsettlingly vast. In 2007, a few RC seniors came together through the realization that they did not know any underclassmen. They sought a new way to build a stronger, more cohesive RC community. Thus, RC forums were born.
