The RC has many needs, large and small, and we have relied on donations of all sorts from alumni and friends to support a unique pedagogy that challenges our students to learn by doing and to engage their education proactively.
For the 2008-2009 academic year, the RC is focusing its fund-raising on two critical areas of this venerable living-learning community:
1) A Robust General Fund (#349830) to Support a Broad Array of Student-Centered Programming is a crucial component of the RC's overall financial and organizational foundation. Your gift to the RC General Fund provides the staff and faculty of the Residential College the maximum flexibility to support critical programmatic needs. Your donation supports a diverse array of student activities for community-building, supplies for the important social hours in the internsive language programs, and much more.
2) Sustained engagement in the creative arts (#801269) has always been central to an RC education and to the life of the community. This is the “artful difference” that pushes students to do creative work and show the results. Yet the physical facilities for the four visual art studios are in dire need of renewal. Your donation will support the purchase of updated equipment and supplies, expanded studio space, and much more.
