January scholarship round open for RC students traveling in Winter 2009

The RC's Donald and June Brown "Students in the World" endowment fund was created in 2007 to provide financial assistance to RC students who need extra funds to enable them to travel outside of Ann Arbor to study abroad or for internships.

Funding rounds occur three times per year.  The January round contains a specific allocation for Alternative Spring Break and for students traveling with their winter semester classes.  The RC awarded approximately $4,000 in the January 2008 round for student travel to Germany, Mexico, Italy, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua - and we expect to be able to award at least that amount again in January 2009.

Interested students can find applications in c-tools.  Application submission deadline is January 21.
